ESS Event HistoryThe Emergency Services Show is Wiltshire's most iconic show
The Emergency Services Show started in 2005 and, since then, has grown to become a hugely successful family fun day, with visitors attending from all over the South West.
Over the years, tens of thousands of people have visited the Show and taken the opportunity to find out more about their local emergency services.
Since the outset, the aim of the Show has been to spotlight the work of the emergency services in a safe and controlled environment.
While the original concept was to raise awareness and improve community safety, rather than to make money, the event quickly turned a profit, and the committee has been able to grant over £150,000 since 2005 to charities and blue light organisations that support the work of the emergency services.
In 2015, the organising committee became a charitable trust, a huge step forward and a real achievement for the Show.
While the committee has evolved and the Show has grown, the core ethos remains the same, this event is a chance for you to meet your emergency services without having an emergency first.
